Stewarding a Well-Established Lineage

We are Shadrick and Darienne Yoder. Our home is on quiet acreage in Southwest Michigan and our two dogs enjoy it thoroughly. We both grew up with dogs, enjoy their company, and desire to raise our family around a variety of animals. Our goal in creating a breeding program is to continue the lineage of thoughtful stewardship from which our AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis have come. Finny and Fitz were chosen and brought home with specific care to their temperament, coloring, structure, and purpose they could best fulfill. When initially researching the breed we discovered and fell in love with the Corgi’s historic herding roots. In seeking out that trait in our own dogs we learned that it also came with trainability and intelligence. While we ourselves do not show dogs at this time we know there are many dog owners out there who do and as such require dogs who carry those traits. Our small breeding program is structured to continue the Corgi breed standards and put the health of our dogs and their puppies at a forefront. We accomplish this with veterinary oversight from our local vet clinic, a consistent diet, and early and continued socialization with a variety of ages. The results are a loyal, loving dog who is prepared to work and play alongside you!
